THE BUCKET LIST FAMILY
VISITS HILTON HEAD ISLAND

With millions of followers and fans tuning into The Bucket List Family’s adventures every week, this family is no ordinary household. In 2015, Jessica and Garrett reevaluated their future plans by questioning what was truly important to them. Some of their goals were to “become more open hearted and open minded, create life long memories, and become closer as a marriage and family.” As a result, they decided to create a family bucket list. Jessica and Garrett, along with their kids, packed their bags and embarked on a three-year journey, ultimately visiting 75 different countries across the globe.

After years in the making, The Bucket List Family finally traveled to the Lowcountry in June 2022 for a weeklong adventure filled with bucket list worthy accommodations and Southern hospitality. The Bucket List Family described the beauty of Hilton Head Island’s relaxed family appeal with their millions of like-minded followers, inspiring them to plan a trip to the destination.

The Bucket List Family’s itinerary was jam packed with fun, Lowcountry activities such as searching for sea turtle nests with HHI Sea Turtle Patrol, kayaking at sunset, sailing on an America’s Cup 12 meter sailboat, enjoying a Lowcountry boil picnic on the beach, and so much more!

To make the itinerary more game-like and engaging for the kids, trivia questions were paired with select activities. For the kids to earn a patch, the parents were told to ask them the question that correlated with the activity. Whether they received a right or wrong answer, the trivia question prompted a dialogue about the activity they had just completed and helped the family remember a key takeaway.
