WILL MILES LYMPHATIC RESEARCH FOUNDATION
Will Miles was 5 years old when he was diagnosed with primary lymphedema, a condition that causes swelling in his feet and ankles. Growing up, he was an active young kid that loved to play baseball, basketball, and golf. Golf proved to be the least taxing on his legs and upon graduation from high school, he received a scholarship to play for the University of South Carolina.
After four great years at USC, Will Miles began competing as a professional golfer and continues to chase his dream of making it to golf’s top stage, the PGA Tour. Along the way, he hopes to use his platform to raise awareness for people living with lymphedema. Hence, the creation of the Will Miles Lymphatic Research Foundation. This organization raises money to support the Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN) whose mission “is to fight lymphatic diseases through education, research, and advocacy. We seek to accelerate the prevention, treatments and cures for lymphedema, lipedema, lymphatic anomalies, and the continuum of lymphatic diseases.”
The colors for the Will Miles Lymphatic Research Foundation were strategically selected to align with the branding of the Lymphatic Education & Research Network, establishing a visual connection between the two entities. The foundation's logo incorporates elegant, flowing lines that emulate the graceful curves of a golf course. These fluid lines not only reflect the foundation's close ties to the sport but also serve as a symbol of resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges. They convey the foundation's determination to overcome adversity and make a lasting impact in lymphatic research.
